In next Friday's session, we will study the different types of bank cards available. We will look into the structure of a typical English bank card, and we will do some exercises related to the use of cards at cashpoints. We will also revise the use of the imperative in English for giving orders or instructions.
In the second part of the session, we will deal with the topic "Exchanging money". We will learn the English names of the most important types of currencies in the world, analyse some bank notes and their respective countries, and we will simulate some of the possible situations that may come up when a client needs to exchange currency.

Session 4. Bank Accounts (18/02/11)
In next Friday's session, we will learn about the different types of bank accounts, and we will discuss some differences between accounts in Spain and bank accounts in other English-speaking countries.
We will also practice some usual dialogues connected to the opening of bank accounts and the possible situations that may derive from this procedure.
Finally, we will do some exercises where you will put into practice all the new vocabulary that you've recently learnt.

Session 3. Paying in and paying out. Past Simple: pronunciation of -ed. 50 key words for Banking English. Verb 'To Pay' (11/02/11)

In next Friday's session, we will go through some common expressions used when paying in cash, and we will role-play dialogues and situations that may come up when withdrawing money from an account. Also, we will analyse different situations related to the payment of bills, and learn the different types of existing bills.
As I have noticed that many people have problems pronouncing the -ed forms, we will also do some grammar practice in class, using some verbs in the past / participle forms that usually appear in banking conversations.
In the second part of the lesson, we will learn 50 key words in banking English, and we will analyse the verb 'TO PAY' and some of its varieties, including phrasal verbs and common expressions.
